Information for Parents and Carers
At Glossopdale Sixth Form we recognise the vital role that parents and carers play in supporting students through their post-16 education. This stage of study is an important stepping stone between school and university, apprenticeships, or employment, and we want to work in close partnership with families to help every student succeed.
Parent Handbook
Our Parent Handbook is the main source of information you’ll need to support your child throughout their Sixth Form journey.

-
Attendance and punctuality expectations
-
Independent study and homework routines

Academic support and intervention
-
Enrichment opportunities and wider Sixth Form life
-
Wellbeing and pastoral support
-
Key dates for the academic year
You can download the handbook here:
Staying Informed

Working Together
We believe the most successful Sixth Form experience comes when students, staff, and parents are working in partnership. Your support at home – helping your child manage their time, maintain attendance, and balance study with wellbeing – makes a significant difference.
