Wellbeing is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as “the state of being comfortable, healthy, or happy” However, it is important to realise that wellbeing is a much broader concept than moment-to-moment happiness. While it does include happiness, it also includes other things, such as how satisfied people are with their life as a whole, their sense of purpose, and how in control they feel.

Please speak to your year cluster team if you have any worries; we are here to help and to listen. You are not alone. If you feel you can, please contact your year manager or send an email to and someone will get back to you with offers of help and support.

We have also now recruited a therapy dog for the school. Please see details in the letter home at the bottom of the page.

There are also a number of resources outside of school that offer guidance, resources and advice.
