Governors’ and Trustees’ Information
Welcome to the Governors' and Trustees' Information Page
As a Local Governing Board, we have responsibility for determining, monitoring and keeping under review the broad policies, plans and procedures within which the school operates.
To achieve this we work very closely with the head teacher and the whole senior leadership team.
Whilst much of the work we do is ‘behind the scenes’, we are keen to be accessible to staff and parents when necessary.
The strategic function of our Local Governing Board can be summarised as:
1. Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
2. Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
4. Ensuring the voices of stakeholders are heard.

Our Governing Board structure is made up of the following committees:
1. Local Governing Board
2. Staffing & Resources Committee
3. Curriculum and Welfare Committee
Governing Board Committees meeting approximately 5 to 6 times per year. Dates of our meetings can be found below.
There are other committees that meet on a less frequent or when required basis.
