Student Leadership
Our Student Leaders
Our Student Leaders exemplify our THRIVE Values, demonstrate pride in Glossopdale High School, and actively contribute to our school community. They play an important role in representing the student body, supporting school events, promoting positive behaviour, and helping to ensure that student voices are heard.
Through leadership opportunities, students develop confidence, responsibility, communication skills, and the ability to make a positive difference within the school and wider community.

Student Voice
Our Student Leadership Team works closely with students and staff to ensure that the student voice remains at the heart of school improvement. By listening to the views of their peers and sharing ideas and feedback, student leaders help make Glossopdale High School an inclusive, supportive, and aspirational environment for all.
Developing Future Leaders
Student leadership provides opportunities for students to develop valuable life skills including communication, teamwork, organisation, responsibility, and confidence. Through their leadership roles, students gain experience that prepares them for future education, employment, and community involvement while embodying the school's THRIVE Values every day.
Mental Health Ambassadors
Our student Mental Health Ambassadors scheme began in 2019 and has grown and developed since. Students who have an interest in this area are trained to recognise other students who may be struggling with their mental health and/or wellbeing, in doing so, they can direct them to the right person to support or agencies and apps such as Kooth, or Young Minds (for example) They work proactively together and with designated staff members and are peer led to ensure that Glossopdale High School is a place where Social and Emotional and Mental Health is given a priority.
