Psychology

Aims and Ambitions

Psychology explores how and why people think, feel and behave. Our AQA courses introduce students to key theories, real‑world applications and the scientific methods used to study human behaviour. Topics include memory, social influence, development, psychopathology and the biological basis of behaviour.

Students learn to think critically, analyse evidence and apply psychological ideas to everyday life. The course also builds valuable skills in research, communication and data analysis—useful for progression into further study or careers in fields such as mental health, education, healthcare and science.

Psychology is an engaging, thought‑provoking subject designed to inspire curiosity and support every learner to achieve their full potential.
